When will I hear back about my submission?

We've streamlined our reading process, and so you can now expect to hear back from us within 2-4 weeks of sending your submission.

Can I query about the status of my submission?

If you have not heard back from us within 6 weeks of sending your submission, you may send us an email inquiring about its status.

Are simultaneous submissions allowed?

Simultaneous submissions are permitted, but we ask that we are notified promptly if a piece has been accepted elsewhere. Please indicate all simultaneous submissions in the body of your email to hominumjournal@gmail.com

Will I receive feedback on my piece?

Unfortunately, we do not currently have the capacity to offer individual feedback on submissions. To the best of our ability, however, we try and personalize emails to our submitters.

Are you a paying market?

We are not able to offer any fiscal compensation for authors at this time, but we hope to change this model in the future.

When is Hominum Journal published?

We publish quarterly, or four issues annually.
